Build your CV and broaden your horizons with life-changing experiences that could even help to shape your future!
Volunteering helps you try new things, meet new people, build new skills and gain confidence. You can find a range of volunteering opportunities to suit your interests, and it can help to boost your CV too. Employers love seeing that you’ve done something proactive out of choice, not because someone made you do it.
Volunteering is a way to give back and help your community – and help yourself, too.
We run two programmes, one aimed at 16 to 30 year olds and the other open to all ages.
Each programe comes with support and ensure there is a clear path way to your next steps.
Please see below for new opportunities.
Work experience is a great way to build your skills and your CV and find out what you could enjoy doing in the world of work.
Schools arrange work experience opportunities, but you can do work experience at school, college, university and beyond. You can seek work experience opportunities by talking to teachers and lecturers, careers advisers, family and friends, and going on the careers website of your favourite employers to see if they have a formal process for work experience and internships.
Types of work experience:
- Work shadowing (even if it’s just for a day)
- Work placements in a company
- Work placements on a degree course
